The Level 2 Award in Food Safety is designed to cover food safety for anyone working in catering or an environment where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
Some of the topics covered on the course include why food safety is important, the legislation, the prevention of contamination, control of contamination through safe storage and temperatures, and how food becomes contaminated.
Following the completion of each module candidates will need to answer a set of questions to test their knowledge and learning and will need to achieve a pass mark of 75% in order to continue to the next course module.
This is specific to those within the catering industry.
